Travels without Charlie

Uncle Phil pillow

Loving his bed

Making new friends

Dog pool

Lots of water toys

Lots of bones

Charlie's new sleeping place

For the next part of our trip we had to leave Charlie. No dogs allowed in the Grand Canyon and we need to get some long hikes in while in Utah to get in shape. So we made arrangements for him to stay with the folks in Boulder. We'll circle back around to get him in a few weeks.
We were really sad to leave Charlie. It feels strange to be traveling and not having to consider  finding a pet friendly place to stay or feeding and walking him. Also miss his panting and drooling while we're driving along.
The one thing that makes it better is knowing that he is getting smothered with love by Aunt Jan, Aunt Jill, and Uncle Phil. It's one of the best places for a dog. Baskets filled with marrow bones and he's allowed to sleep on the couch, bed, and Uncle Phil. Also a doggy playscape and pool to swim around in. He's clearly not missing us. Hope he'll come with us when we come back to get him in a few weeks.
